Service Description
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a very gentle massage technique. It uses slow, light, rhythmic movements on the skin to encourage the flow of lymph, the fluid that drains through the body's lymphatic system. Clients often book MLD when they feel puffy or heavy, for example after a long flight, or simply because they find the slow rhythm deeply relaxing. If you'd like MLD after surgery or for lymphoedema, please speak to your surgeon or specialist first and let me know what they advise. Good to know Light touch: MLD is not a deep massage. The lymphatic vessels sit just under the skin, so the pressure is very light by design. Water: drink some water before and after your session. Afterwards: it's common to need the toilet more often for a few hours. Full body: MLD is usually done as a full-body treatment. Before booking Infection: not suitable with a temperature, flu or an active infection. Heart and kidneys: not suitable with heart or kidney failure unless your doctor has cleared it. Blood clots: not suitable with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or any suspected clot. Cancer: if you're having cancer treatment, please bring your GP's or consultant's agreement.
Cancellation Policy
Booking Policy 1. Appointment Scheduling Advance Booking: Clients are encouraged to book appointments at least 24 hours in advance to ensure availability. Online Booking: All appointments can be scheduled through our online booking system. You will receive a confirmation email once your appointment is booked successfully. Walk-ins: Walk-ins are welcome but subject to availability. To guarantee a spot, booking in advance is highly recommended. 2. Appointment Reminders Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email or SMS once your booking is completed. Reminder: A reminder will be sent 24 hours before your appointment via email or SMS. Cancellation Policy 1. Cancellation Notice Standard Cancellation: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Late Cancellations: If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, a cancellation fee of £20. No-Show: If you do not show up for your appointment without notice, you will be charged £40. 2. Rescheduling Rescheduling Notice: If you need to reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any fees. Multiple Reschedules: Frequent rescheduling may result in the requirement of a deposit to secure future bookings. Waitlist Policy 1. Waitlist Enrollment Joining the Waitlist: If your preferred time slot is unavailable, you may opt to join the waitlist. You will be notified if an opening becomes available. Notification: Waitlist notifications will be sent via email or SMS. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Confirmation: If you receive a waitlist notification, you must confirm your appointment within 3 hours to secure the spot. 2. Waitlist Priority Priority: Clients who have experienced a last-minute cancellation or have been rescheduled by the therapist may receive priority on the waitlist.
